Mekong Discovery - 5th Sept 2011 - 13th Sept 2011
Our tour overall was excellent, we cannot praise Ming highly enough. He was very professional and witty and funny at the same time. I have already told my mother (who is traveling with you in November ) to ask for Ming. Hoang, our driver was very quiet but we felt very safe the whole trip. Sp our tour guide in phnom penh was very polite, but he was far too political throughout the tour. We basically received lectures from him throughout the tour about various topics, and we felt if we were to stay longer we would would have asked for a different guide. Would not recommend him at all. Sarak, our guide in siem reap was fantastic. His English was excellent and was very polite. It rained very hard on our first day and we couldn't view one of the temples properly so he took us back the next day so we didn't miss out. We even asked him if we could get blessed by a munk which clearly is not in the tour itinerary and he found one for us without any problem. We would definately recommend him to anyone. Miss nga vu gave us exceptional service and made booking this whole holiday a breeze. We have already recommended your company to many people.

One last Thank You before we leave Vietnam on Tuesday night, for the wonderful dinner cruise on the Bonsai river cruise on the Saigon River for our farewell dinner, it was a great night, we have just arrived back at hotel 9.45pm, so I thought that I should send this e-mail to let you know that we had a wonderful night and great hoilday, our tour guide Ming and driver in Saigon have also been great, but like all holidays they come to a end and we must return home, I will write when back in Aust. It has been a great holiday with all things going the way they should so I can only thank you for that, we will be back to see more in Vietnam soon, I also have my son and girl friend, wanting to travel this year so will let them know about our trip, so may speak to you soon to arrange another trip.

How is all going in Vietnam, we have been home for three weeks and back at work, how time passes so quickly, we came back to our winter and our log fire, not like the temp. In Vietnam. As we travelled around Vietnam we thought about different things, but once home and you reflect on your holidays and look at all your photos you then realize what a great holiday it had been. We had a fabulous time and that only occurred because of your help in booking the holiday and making sure that all ran as it should. Vietnam Holiday 13 days from 15th July to 27th July 2011
Hi Thao,
It was lovely to meet you in Hanoi. We are a group of 14 extremely satisfied and happy guests which was because of your great organisational skills. I did complete the survey you sent but I have a feeling it may not have come through to you as I got error messages. I will try and remember the content and show below:
Northern Vietnam – Hotels and guide excellent. Coach driver and coach we rated 9. Hoang was awesome and fitted in with our group really well. Because of him we went to places we probably wouldn’t so saw a lot more than anticipated. We did have problems with check in at Hanoi which took an hour and four staff members to sort out. Recommended great eating places.
Central Vietnam – Hotels excellent; guide and coach driver we gave a 7. Hanh was a good guide however she did not have the same passion that Hoang had. She was great though in sorting out our flight hassles and organized a guide to meet us at Danang when we flew out so the check in was flawless and we had no further problems in this regard There was some miscommunication with when she and the driver were leaving the group but this was not a major.
Southern Vietnam – Hotels and guide excellent. Coach driver and coach we rated 9. Tranh was great and provided a good insight into both the South and North Vietnamese issues so we gained a lot of insight with her. She was also great in organising the Cu Chi Tunnels tour for the five who stayed later. Recommended great eating and shopping places.
Thanks also for organising the transfer to the airport for those of us who left earlier. We were fully expecting to pay so to have this provided free was a big bonus.
We loved Vietnam and, speaking for my husband and I, will definitely be back. I would highly recommend Vietnam Today and have already passed details to another couple we know are planning on traveling in December. I am hopeful they will use your services as they were superb. You are a fantastic agent to deal with, and a great company. Keep up the good work.

How are you? I hope you are well.
Todd and I just wanted to pass on our sincere thanks for organising us such a great holiday when we travelled to Vietnam this past June. We wanted to pass on our specific feedback so that it may be of some help for your company.
We found it excellent that when being picked up from the airport that each of our guides told us how long it would take us to get to our destination. This put our mind at ease as to where we were going, in a country where we knew nothing.
We also found our hotels to be excellent – particularly the Caravelle in Saigon. Saigon was our favourite part of the trip. It was fantastic.
The mobile phone you provided us was a brilliant idea and we really appreciated knowing there was someone we could contact at any time should we need to. That reassurance that you were always there meant the world to us and made being in a foreign country so much less stressful.
And finally, Maoy, our first guide. He was absolutely brilliant and he made our trip unforgettable. We just wish every trip we went on, that we could take him with us as our guide as we found him so interesting to listen to and tailored the information to our age and interests. All your guides were good, but he was fantastic. He was so helpful when I was sick and needed the chemist, I honestly don’t know what we would have done without him, and he was funny and absolutely lovely. As was our driver on this part of the journey. We can not give him enough praise. He was fabulous. Please pass on our thanks to him, we just loved him and loved hearing about how he lives and his experiences, we found it so enjoyable.
Our last guide – the lady – was also brilliant and spoke fantastic English, and we’d like to thank her too, especially for taking us to the CuChi Tunnels at the last minute.
Anyway, we just wanted to put something in writing to show our thanks and gratitude to you, Vietnam Travel and Maoy (I’m sure I’m spelling that incorrectly and I apologise).

Dear Ms. Mary,

As vacation time ends and I reflect on my experiences, I want to thank you and your team for helping me to experinece a "dream come true." I truly enjoyed all the experiences I had in Vietnam and Cambodia! I got to see and do things that I have wanted to do and experience for many years. Your tour guide and driver selections were just great. Each location was special and the teams who took care of us did a superb job!



Just wanted to say thank you and please know we were very pleased with our experiences. If you need any detailed critique information, I would be glad to think about the experiences and share insights..... for now, though, I want to say the following:



thank you for the use of the cell phone and the SIM card. That was an excellent convenience for us, and Tour Guide Son was most gracious to teach us how to load it and use it.



for helping tourists in the future:

I wish i had known the right tipping policy. I don't like to "over do" tipping, and perhaps for guides and drivers there is no expectation, so that guideline would be helpful. Tipping in restaurants we were able to figure out after a few times, but that is just great info for people who don't know....

We loved the cruise for the ambience and experience. The scenery was wonderful, but nobody told us anything about what we were seeing..... I wish Son could have come with us to explain or that the company provided more explanations....



I have several friends who are interested in possible trips similar to ours. I will be sure to share your name and company.... we were very pleased.

Cambodia and Vietnam Discovery (16 days) from 10 June 2011 to 25 June 2011
My comments wouldn't send in the survey so i cut them and pasted them here if you want to forward to whoever reads the surveys.
First I would like to say thank you so much to Hoang for helping us plan this trip. I'm so glad we did the private tours instead of a group thing since we deviated quite often from the itinerary :).
If Chau Doc could be avoided probably would be okay. other than the overnight in the hotel there wasn't much you could do in this town and guide said we should eat in the hotel and not out in town so we felt confined to the hotel.
Cambodia was awesome. I will admit we got sick of seeing sooo many temples, but the guide was fantastic we diverted away after visiting 3 temples, did drive by's on the others and instead he took us to see some elephants and then we went to the floating village. Now this.... I highly recommend. I think everyone should see this. was really amazing!
We found Saigon to be a bit intimidating and the taxi drivers had no idea what we were saying so that was a bit tough on our free time. You really need the guides in this area. At night we just walked around to find restaurant no taxi. In Cambodia was so easy to get around on those bikes with seats in the back (not sure what you call them) and it was amazing that they all spoke fairly good english. We often would hop in the back of one and just tell the guy just drive us around until we say stop. was really nice cambodia.
We really enjoyed Hoian. Nice atmosphere, nice people, great bars/restaurants on the beach, cute little town. We rented a motorbike for two days as well as went scuba diving out to the Cham islands.
Hanoi was nice. But at this stage we were over the big cities and just enjoyed the pool at the hotel more than anything else. Halong bay was cancelled so we departed Hanoi one day early. Not a big deal. Every other aspect of this trip was so wonderful. All the guides very helpful and timely. Always felt well taken care of and in good hands with your company. Would definately use you guys again and especially ask for Hoang Dinh.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond to your Thank you letter, but we have had to buy a new computer as our old one died.

Thank you so much for the marvellous job you have done for us for our wonderful holiday. We were so pleased to meet you on arrival & get to know the email voice we have been talking to for so many months. With all the different modes of transport ( Personal driver, train, sail boat on Halong Bay, plane, speed boat, oar boat, rickshaw, tuk tuk, cyclo,),we had while in Vietnam & Cambodia, we were very pleased to experience every one of them, it made the trip so interesting. We all had the most fantastic time in your beautiful country, & the people were just wonderful, helpful, polite, courteous, & just plain lovely.

We have so many wonderful photos & we will send you some when we get organised. Barry was so thankfull for that lovely bunch of flowers you gave to him for his birthday & we & others all enjoyed them on the Oriental Sails boat while in Halong Bay. On board the boat that night the chef made a birthday cake each for Barry & Judi & it was shared among all the other passengers as well.

We dont know which was the best part of our trip, but we feel that we like the northern part of Vietnam better than the south. We will definately be back.

We will be doing the survey later in the next day or so.

Vietnam Vacation - From 1st May 2011 until 17th May 2011 Dear Mary,
first of all sorry for answering so late. It has been boiling like in hells cattle since we arrived with our work and projects!
Anyway- it was real pleasure to visit Your wonderful country and have such a great program and service. This was the best trip we´ve ever had and You have to believe me. Special thanks to our guides, especially to Zung (!?) in Sapa and You, Mary for answering all our questions and solving little problems in hotels!
We don´t have enough words to explain how happy and satisfied we are with everything. We got so many information from our guides about Vietnam, culture, food, everyday life, wars and nature.
So, we´d like to come back. And very soon with our children 4, 16, 18! And with Your help about program and everything.
As our eldest is graduating from college next spring, we have time from December 17, 2011- Feb 29, 2012. Between Dec 17- Jan 8, 2012 we can stay for 18 days, after for 14 days.
We were thinking also about Laos and Kambodja. The plan is to visit different places we visited this time and to have beach vacation for 6- 7 days. Kite- surfing again will be important too................If You are interested to show us more in Your beautiful country and neighbours, we´re looking forward to start planning a new trip!

Vietnam Memories - from 15th Apr until 29th Apr
I keep thinking about our trip, and one of the most important things about it, was the attention to detail that you gave to our time in Vietnam. Every single detail was carried out so well, from being picked up at the airport , each time, to having a cell phone to call you if we needed to.
IN reality we rarely needed it because you had worked so hard to make the trip so incredibly good. We believe that you heard us early on in planning, that this was not just a tourist trip, that we had something so important to accomplish. Your extra effort to find Dieu Tri, from helping us connect to the non profit agency who searched for her, to checking to see if they had located her, and then of course getting a last minute driver and translator/guide were just so profoundly appreciated by all of us.

WE also so much enjoyed your understanding of the need to recouperate for Lian, after our time in Danang and Hue. The Sunrise Becah Hotel was exceptionally correct for us, as the entire placement of the hotel, the calm interior, the beautiful views, were so calming and therapeutic! Equally wonderful was the trip to Halong Bay that you convinced me to take, as I was not sure , and thought it might be very touristy! But our boat and the rooms there too, with that particular boat were superb. Both hotels in Hanoi, and in Ho Chi Minh City were in perfect locations for us. All this work commendable.

WE hope you share this with your agency who should know how much we valued your efforts, and we would and will recommend your Travel agency to any one we know who might come to visit your lovely country, and first home of my daughter.
I will always and continually be grateful! WE have now connected with Dieu Tri’s brother in Colorado and will continue to find out more about him and have more conversations with Dieu Tri through him! Surprisingly, he lives not too far from my sister Barbara!!!

The problems with the gates in Chan May and Phu My were difficult at the time but the rest of the visit made it all worth while. I would just include the price of meeting your customers at the dock in your original costs rather than go through that again.

On behalf of my husband Ray, sister Pat and David Fong and brother Mark and Ratana Lum I wish to thank you for organising a great tour for us. We all had a good time despite early rises but all in all everyone coped very well and now have very fond memories of the trip. Sapa was beautiful even though it was difficult to get to. Angkor Wat was amazing and we were all in awe at the immensity of the temples and it's unblemished state. It was also quite an adventure going from Saigon-Mekong Delta through to Phnom Penh-Siem Reap but on reflection it was actually very interesting and a nice way to have a real feel and see the waterways and the countryside. We were truly blessed with great weather. There were sudden downpours but it often happened when the tour for the day was over so it didn't affect us at all.

It was with great reluctance that I had to return to work today but such is life!

Thank you also for your hospitality at your office and for the kind gifts. They will take pride of place at my house together with others that I have collected through my many travels to other countries. I hope we didn't cause too much chaos in the office that day!

Please be so kind as to thank and convey my good wishes to your boss "Shark" and his wife on their impending parenthood in September. It was very kind of him to meet up with us.
Wish him all the best for his tennis as well!! Perhaps we may see him at one of the Slams!!

We are back in Buenos Aires.,,I want to thank you for your excellent job.Owr trip was great, all hotels were very good (except hue heritage, we did not like that one), all the guides were excellent, friendly, educated, with very high knowledge of history and english. Food included in itinerary was also excellent.,,We had that problem in bangkok but you answered mails immediatly and solve the problem of transport and hotel reservation, so thank you again for that.,,I will recomend VTT to my friends.

Also the individual attention to our needs in Saigon by Thao was really impressive.Difficult to identify areas for improvement as the service was 5 star, individual personal connection with each of the guides influenced our ratings.Many thanks, you provide a terrific service!
