Tra Su Bird Sanctuary, also known by other names like Tra Su Cajuput Forest, Tra Su Melaleuca forest is a special place for nature lovers and especially photography who love birds and wild animals. Tra Su Bird Sanctuary is located in Van Giao Commune, Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province, just about 30 kilometers west of Chau Doc and 10km from Cambodian border.

Referring to An Giang tourism, most of us often immediately immediately think of Ba Chua Xu Temple, Cam Mountain, Sam Mountain, palm palm fields photographed against the sunset or the busy Chau Doc market which is often called "" Kingdom of fish" but forgot about the beautiful Tra Su Melaleuca forest and is trending on world-famous travel sites.

During the Vietnam War, the forest was heavily damaged by bombs of the US army. After the war, the government of An Giang province replanted the forest, so Tra Su forest today has become an eco-tourism area and a rich place of flora and fauna.

Today, this forest covers an area of about 845 hectares and is an important natural habitat for many colorful birds and other rare animals. There are over 140 different types of plants in the reserve and many species of Cajuputs, which are very common in the plains, can be found here.
