I can't believe how intricately and successfully our trip came together - it truly was a trip of a lifetime for us.
Mary D was so understanding and quick to follow up on all of our communications. She was always willing to make adjustments to our itinerary and give us reliable suggestions when needed. Plus, we were extremely surprised when she actually met us at our first hotel prior to us heading off with our first guide - this was extremely impressive to us and made us feel so comfortable, especially since all of our communications until that point had been through email. It was a delight to put a face to a name, meet Mary and give her a hug and shake her hand for all the hard work she put into our trip. She was also available throughout our trip when we had random questions. On top of all that, our guides in ALL regions were AMAZING - they were extremely knowledgeable and excited to share their culture with us.
It made such a difference for us to have private guides and not just be part of a huge group - we felt like we got to know each one quite well. The only suggestions I can think to make are... it'd be nice to get a list of helpful words or phrases in the native language, and a list of anything important and customary to cultures ahead of time - like how people greet one another, proper manners, proper dress, etc. I think that's it though - all in all we'd do this trip again right now if we had the money!!!

We are very happy that we used Travel Vietnam for our recent trip in March, 2014. From the very beginning, Ms. Van Anh, our travel consultant, was extraordinarily professional and helpful. She was timely in her replies and quite flexible in accommodating our family's particular needs (diet, train vs plane, schedule, etc.,) Also, when we had a few problems pop up, she was quick to remedy the situation for us - at no additional cost to us, a huge surprise - so that we were firmly certain of our future bookings with Travel Vietnam to other countries! Thank you Ms. Van Anh! : ) The tour guides, Tao, Mao and Lin in particular were FANTASTIC! Very knowledgeable, interesting, fun, flexible guides who were all very committed to our family having a great time! Thank you guys - you made our trip terrific! The food overall was good. We have some tricky personal diet issues and frankly we were worried about options for us in Vietnam. We would say that we had many enjoyable meals while there. We had asked for 4-star or higher accommodations. Overall, the rooms were quite good. I am not sure I would say they were all 4-star. Some were maybe 3.5-star. We are so pleased we booked through Travel Vietnam and look forward to utilizing your services for our trips to Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. And hopefully another trip to Vietnam! The trip was excellent. The only downfall with the content is that while in South Vietnam we wanted to go to the Cu Chi Tunnels and that was not part of the itinerary. We did not receive an evaluation form for our tour guide in Northern Vietnam but she was beyond amazing! She took us to places we really wanted to see and try food and new experiences that we requested. Her English was excellent and we couldn't of asked for a better tour guide. Our accommodations were much better than expected and the entire set up and planning was amazing! We loved Vietnam and only have great things to say about it because of you. When we go to the surrounding countries we will definitely use this group.

Vietnam is an fascinating and beautiful country, the people are universally friendly and warm, and due in no small part to your efforts we were able to sample a great variety of its culture.
Each one of the eleven tour guides were top notch; the ten different hotels and each had their own identity and charm, and the drivers and their vehicles were excellent and we were always relaxed and safe in sublime comfort.
I travel extensively on business and always arrange my own travel and accommodation; this is the first time on a vacation that my wife and I have used an agent such as yourself to make the arrangements and I must say it has resulted in one of our best trips ever. Vietnam itself has lot to do with the pleasure of it all but in addition, being met at each airport, chauffeured in comfort, and guided at a tempo that suited us perfectly, has meant no distraction and complete freedom to relax and enjoy ourselves without thinking once about the clock or the calendar until the end of the trip when we were sad to leave.

We are now back at home after the great trip, still digesting the experience we had and downloading thousands of photos from our cameras.
We want to thank you very much for your very valuable help in planning the trip, in the guidance and ideas you had to improve and optimize our itinerary.
We also want to thank you for your assistance during our trip, starting from the cellphone with pre-programmed numbers of all of our guides, the attention to any detail of the trip, the help you provided when we had difficulties during our trip (changing our guide in Sapa after the first day, quick modification of our plans in Hoi An, when weather did not allow the visit to Bana Hill and we changed to a cooking class instead and the addition of Buddha Park to our itinerary in Vientiane due to early arrival and late departure).
Hotels:
The service was perfect. The hotels were good to very good.
The hotel in Sapa was exceptional: they kept our suitcases for the days we were on track between the villages, gave us a temporary room to take a shower and change before getting back to the night train to Hanoi and also prepared for us boxed meal for the train. I do not know if this was pre-paid by your company or it was included in their service - we highly appreciate it anyway.
You wrote that you had no past experience with Mulberry Boutique Hotel in Siem Reap and we must say it was an excellent hotel: the room was very nice, friendly and warm staff and great location, 5 minutes from the night market and 10 minutes’ walk from the old market. We enjoyed it very much.
All the hotels provided in our trip were fine for our needs and expectations.
Guides:
Most of the guides were excellent, friendly and with lot of knowledge about the history, nature, culture, etc. and could answer our vast number of question and our great need to learn and know about the people’s life.
Our guide in Hanoi, Mr. Kuah was very good; he actually got to understand our set of mind and provided us with a lot of information.
The first guide in Sapa, who did not meet our expectations was substituted (after we contacted you) immediately by Mr. Zoom, who was the perfect guide for the north, who told us a lot about life of the minorities in north Vietnam and took us to visit primary school and high school in the village as well.
Our guides in Hue, Hoi An, Siem Reap and Vientiane were very good to excellent.
Our guide in the Mekong Delta and Saigon, Mr. Lam was exceptional. He is a very knowledgeable person with a lot of experience. He really understood our set of mind and beyond all expectations invited us to the Tet dinner at his uncle's home. This was an outstanding experience which we will always remember.
Mentioning Mekong Delta - we somehow missed the activity of the floating market in Can Tho, although arrived there quite early in the morning. We heard from other travelers that the market was very active at 6 am, but after 7am - there were only 3-4 boats selling watermelons.
In Luang Parabang we had two guides: the guide that picked us up from the airport, with whom we had language communication problems could not be with us on the following day and was replaced by Ms. Tuli, a great guide, who spoke very good English and understood our requests and way of thinking. On the way to Pac Ou caves we stopped at a small village that was making dried river weed sheets with garlic and tomatoes. We were the only tourists there, with no souvenir shops and no tourist traps. We toured the village and visited the school; we also brought toothbrushes and tooth paste tubes and distributed them as presents to the children of the kindergarten, with the agreement of their teachers.
We asked to have Tuli for our second day as well but the local agency refused, saying she was a freelance and not the company employee and therefore they cannot let her continue with us for another day. We believe it was a matter of budget. Anyway the second day at Luang Parabang, with the water falls was very nice, although communication with the guide was difficult. It is interesting to point out the difference in the behavior of the driver in these two days: First day with Tuli – the driver was around the car, available at any moment he was needed. On the second day – we had to wait for him by the car, since he was not available and seemed to do what he wanted ant obey the guide, who managed the day.
Buddha Park in Vientiane:
This is an amazing place, of which I learned from the internet just before arriving Vientiane. This park is in a “must visit” and should be included in itineraries because of its uniqueness.
To summarize: it was a great trip and we thank you once again for your advice, guidance and services. You might include this letter or at least part of it (the paragraphs highlited in yellow) in the testimonials on your webpage. We will recommend our friends, who intend to travel to Indochina to contact you.

NORTH VIETNAM HIGHLIGHTS (23 Feb – 28 Feb 2015)

We just arrived home from our trip to Asia.There are not enough words of thanks for what you did in making this a once in a lifetime experience in Vietnam.We were so impressed by both you and the company's concern for detail and understanding of the difficulties that I personally have in traveling.It is never easy to comprehend really till you actually see the problems on arrival to Vietnam.The programming had to be adjusted accordingly and it was FANTASTIC. Our guide Hai was wonderful as was our driver Duc.The Hotel Gondola(contrary to the bad review in Tripadvisor )was beyond my expectations.I would ordinarily never go to a 3 star hotel but I had a good feeling that you would not lead us astray.The room was very nice and comfortable.The breakfast was excellent.
Our only disappointment as we told Hai was the first evening meal at the Wild Rice restaurant.The food was below par.I felt we were in a tourist trap.This was rectified the next day at lunch.PLEASE send me the name of the restaurant since I would like to write to tripadvisor about how good it was.
Traveling around Hanoi with Hai was fascinating experience,wether by car ,club car,or cyclo.
The Street food experience by cyclo was just right for us and was the highlight of Hanoi for us.You should expand on it more in the future.
On our trips to and from Ha long Bay we found that our driver Duc was very informative and answered any questions that arose on the trip in his good self taught English.It was a pleasure being with him.
Your choice of Aphrodite Cruise was outstanding.We had the Terrace Suite which we had not expected.The crew led by Hershey Cunanan went out their way to help me get on and off ,up or down steps whenever necessary.Our only regret was that we did not do 2 nights.It ended so fast and was SO GOOD. The food was Exemplary.
In Conclusion WE had the time of our lives.We will always recommend you and your company to every one that we know .
You are always welcome to visit us if you ever come to Israel.

We are back now in Phuket and we had a very fine trip, want to thank you for the perfect and flawless organisation.

In Hanói situation of Hotel good and the guide very helpfull everything perfect
Halong Bay just perfect, the driver to the airport ws in our eyes not very good
Hoi An fabulous hotel excellent breakfast, guide more a bit of a showman and not so good
Sai Gon we had the best guide, the girl was vey organised and excellent, also the driver was the best one we had.
Th group on the Eco tour with the basket boats was fantastic, could not be better.
They did everything they could to please us and extremely friendly.
Hotel perfect situation.
Breakfast in hotel was surely perfect for oriental people, but for our type of breakfast not very much choice.
Anyway everybody was extremely friendly and were treated like kings

The part we liked best was the two days in the Mekong delta; very varied, interesting and fun.
The thing we liked least was that we had to spend a whole day on the relatively short trip from Phu Quoc to Bangkok. Since there are no direct flights between Phu Quoc and Bangkok I guess this was unavoidable.

I appreciate how focused you were to the details of our stay - from keeping an eye out for direct flights from Cambodia to Vietnam, adding sites to the itinerary because of the interests of my children, providing us a phone while in Vietnam in case of emergency, and answering emails even though it was way past business hours. Your in-person visit to the hotel on our last day was also a very nice, personal touch. The parting gifts were so thoughtful. I can not wait to display them in my house as a reminder of a great trip! I wouldn't hesitate to use your company again to help plan our next trip to Vietnam.
We truly enjoyed all of the guides we had on the trip but Hai and Ly May Trang were especially outstanding. We appreciated their enthusiasm and knowledge of their region. We could tell they liked their work and were happy to share their knowledge of the area with us. When time permitted, each guide was able to take us to see something not on the itinerary and those side trips were some of the most memorable of the region. We really enjoyed the soap making and art carving site that John took us to in Cambodia as well as the lacquer factory we saw in Hanoi. Our drivers were always punctual and skilled in navigating the traffic. It was an experience in itself trying to figure out the flow of traffic! :) The scheduled toilet breaks during the drive, although a small detail, were a nice break to stretch our legs and use the facilities. Everyone we were in contact with - from the drivers and guides, to the hotel staff- were so professional, knowledgable, helpful and accommodating. The days were seamless going from experience to experience. We never felt hurried and when bumps arose they were dealt with positive "no problem" attitude.
My only suggestions to make the trip even more seamless would be to send the same itinerary to both clients and guides and drivers as our information (although correct) was not the same as our guide or drivers information from the Sapa trip forward. It might also be helpful to designate a specific meeting place to meet the guide - for example "inside the train station" as there were so many guides waiting for people outside and it was so early and dark we didn't realise there might be another place for our guide to meet us. Also, as a westerner, I would have felt more comfortable in the vehicles if they had working seatbelts.
Again, Thank You for all of your hard work and time in making our first travel experience in SE Asia a wonderful experience. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

Happy New Year! Thank you for arranging a wonderful trip to Hanoi. My family enjoyed Hanoi and the service provided by Travel Vietnam was first class. The car was clean, the driver was good and our tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable. The only thing that we did not really like was the fact that the Calypso cruiser was old and very small. The cabins were so small that we could hardly move. Apart from that the guide on the cruise Mr. Mike was friendly and the food was good even though there were no snacks on the cruise and hot drinks were limited.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sedona Suites - the condotel was excellent. The condo was spacious and clean, the service was excellent and the breakfast buffet was really good. Hanoi Pearl hotel was also good but the breakfast was limited.
Thank you for the gifts and we really wish we could have spent more time in Hanoi because we did not have time to do shopping!

Without them, it would not have been so good and enjoyable. We also really enjoyed all the veggie food in the restaurants that Sonny took us to. They were delightful. Som Tola was also a wonderful photographer. We are big into photography and we enjoyed interacting with him.
Both Cambodians and Vietnamese people are wonderful people. You have a very rich culture and people are doing a great job showing it to visitors. You should market it more in a place like India!

Our visit to Vietnam and Cambodia could not have been a more rewarding experience for us and we give you and your colleagues at Travel Vietnam credit for making the trip so memorable.
The itinerary you helped us design, the visits to craftsmen’s workshops and peoples’ homes and activities such as cycling and snorkeling that you arranged, the beautiful hotels you booked and the wonderful restaurants you included in the itinerary (and the others your guides recommended), were all perfect. While Kathy and I enjoy a little of the unexpected on our travels and don’t even mind some inconvenience, we had to admit that having one of your skillful and careful drivers there each morning to pick us up and insure we got where we were supposed to be through the often crazy traffic, made this trip completely stress-free and allowed us to focus on what we were seeing instead of worrying about whether we were going to make the next stop on time.
I want to add a special commendation for the guides you arranged for us. Each one was knowledgeable, fluent, friendly and professional in every respect. We could not possibly have gotten such a comprehensive exposure to the countries we visited, learned as much, or understood what we were seeing as well had it not been for the work of your cadre of terrific guides. Each one was a great representative for your organization and a wonderful ambassador for their country.
At the risk of slighting the rest of an outstanding group, I want to particularly praise the work of Ms. Trân Nguyễn, our guide in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta. Ms. Trân is a true force of nature! She was, if anything, even more determined than I that I should see the site of the small thatched-building training camp on the “beach” in Ba Tri District where I spent four months in 1971. Her persistence led us to a wonderful opportunity to share tea with a team of watchmen in their watchtower overlooking a rich shellfish bed on a mudflat at the mouth of the Hâm Luông River within a thousand meters or so of where I had lived. It was an unforgettable moment for me, and I applaud her resourcefulness, energy, friendliness and dedication to her work. I hope that if she or any of your other guides are able to visit my country someday, they will have guides who are as professional as is your fine team.
Now that we are home, I intend to write a letter to the editor of the newsletter of Counterparts, a veterans’ organization of former military advisors that I belong to, informing the members of the absolutely outstanding service we received from Travel Vietnam in planning and arranging our trip. We arrived home yesterday (after spending few more days in Bangkok on the way back)… A trip of overall more than 3 weeks….
I wanted to take a minute and write to you few words of appreciation and feedback – The trip is Vietnam was amazing, well organized, you recommendations for the trip agenda were very valuable and the execution during the trip itself (cars, drivers, guides) was excellent. All people involved were very professional and pleasant.
We will be happy to recommend your agency and you personally to our friends and colleges that will be planning a trip to your beautiful country.
Looking backwards, the only thing that I would change is to reduce one day in Hoi-an (5 nights were a bit too much) and add the extra day to Sapa.

Overall, it's good. Mr Khoa, our tour guide has a good sense of humor, we can communicate well and he tried his best to answer our questions in details and brought us to the places when we request to. Most likely will come back to him for the next time when we visit Vietnam again. We enjoyed the trip a lot. Other than that, the food provided are so nice. But if drinks are provided, eg green tea or plain water is provided, then it'll be great. About accommodation, the hotel Angel Palace Hotel is great. It's so comfy and having a good service. And we having a great experience staying in Mai Chau homestay. We hope to stay one more day in Mai Chau as we did not really 'explore' it. It's fine with the queen hotel in Ninh Binh. Another great experience in while we're in Ha Long Bay. The view is no nice and we managed to see the sunrise and sunset. Next, it's about the driver. The driver in superbly good! He follows the traffic rules all the way and he's friendly although he can't understand English. Lastly, we'll most likely visits to Vietnam again. Thank you for your professional services. Highlights of Vietnam & Cambodia 12 days from 13 Sept 2104 to 24 Sept 2014
I travelled on this trip with my friends Marie and Emma and I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped organize this trip to some of the most amazing and memorable places I have been to. It was so nice to be able to trust the services that were provided for us and for allowing us the chance to visit 2 amazing countries Vietnam and Cambodia. We did a whistle-stop tour of a lot of places and having someone organise the travel details took a huge pressure off us, allowing us to just relax and enjoy the experience. I would like to say thank you to all the tour guides, who were incredibly knowledgeable and to the drivers, who drove carefully and safely. We packed a lot of things into our trip and we're still talking about it now and re-living moments. My favourite places were Halong Bay (Big Thank You to Sunny and Van Anh for arranging the itinerary for before the typhoon so we got to see it!), the Mekong Delta trip (Thank you to Vincent for showing us around all the various stops and the local produce), Hoi An (Thank you to Hanh for showing us around the city and sharing that really tasty fruit we've never seen in the UK!) and Angkor Wat (Thank you to Narin for guiding us and taking lots of photos!). Thanks also to Sam for showing us around the killing fields and prison in Cambodia. It was a very difficult topic to cover and you made sure we understood the history and impact it had on your country, I think it's one of the memories that will stay with me, However I can see that people are working hard to keen put the past behind them and show everyone all that Cambodia can offer. The only other thing I could possibly suggest to improve the tour would be to give us an idea or list of the different local shops that were on the tour so that we could suggest which places we would like to visit and shop in and spend more time in.
There were some places we were really keen to go into and purchase products that we were shown (for example the tailors in Hoi An) and we enjoyed seeing the various handicraft and skills that people displayed.
But there were some shops where we felt a bit awkward at not being able to purchase products (either because we would have been unable to carry them in our suitcase or didn't have much interest in purchasing these things in the first place), especially after the store owners had kindly taken the time to show us around.
However, that's not to say other people in other tours would take the same view as us and if it was tailored so that each individual group of people could choose the places they would want to visit, then it may be more likely that more people would buy the products.
However, overall we all LOVED the countries and your tour company and again thank you for everything you have organised and done. It was an amazing trip and we're telling all our friends to visit your countries and to use your tour company!

I just wanted to tell you that we have enjoyed an amazing trip.
The content of the tour have been perfectly choosen and also guides and driver. Anh and Lucky (our guide in Cambodia) deserve be especially mentioned due to their deep knowledge, friendliness and actitude.
The only black point of the trip has been our hotel in Siem Reap. The room was beside the night market and it was extremly noisy, the AC did not work properly and it was noisy too. We went twice to reception to try to get a solution but the person in charge was very unpolite and rude (he was half sleepy and did not put any attention to us) so we decided to left the hotel and book another hotel by ourselves. I have not told you until now because i did not want that anything bother our trip.
We are very happy for the trip and all your service so just as a suggestion we think you should search for better acomodation partner in Siem Reap because Memories D'Angkor Hotel and the person in charge do not offer the same level of services that you do.
It is not about the stars of the hotel because Gondola and Sapa Paradise View were perfect and the people there great professionals, it is about the way they treat us. I wanted to be very honest with the feedback because be sure I am going to recomend you to all my friends and family.
Thank you very much for everything, honestly, despite the mentioned problem with the hotel the trip has been amazing and we hope to come back soon.

We had a fantastic time. We are very very satisfied with ms Huong Do. She was a great help, she gives very good advice, she is flexible and very kind. She made our trip a great success. It felt to me so comfortable to have shared dinner, conversation and the "motor bike ride". We were brave enough to choose this transportation on one of our excursions in Halong Bay. The option of 2 persons to Kayak there was something we had not done. Spent our time looking and enjoying as well as collecting plastic bottles and other floating garbage. I understand it is difficult to free the area of such but every little thing helps. I was interested by the bright red push-up bra floating, cups up!! During the planning phase, the responsiveness of Ms. Thuy Do and her colleagues were amazing, as was her flexibility in tailoring the trip to our needs. From the first welcome at the Hanoi Airport to the final Bon Voyage in Saigon, the guides, drivers, and Vietnam Travel representatives were first class, as were the accommodations and the meals. All details were handled flawlessly, and we also appreciated the flexibility of the guides in changing the planned itineraries according to our moods, energy and interests on a particularly day. It was amazing to have seen and experienced so much in such a short period of time.

Huyen provided us excellent support while on Saigon. She is an extremely capable guide with extensive knowledge of the area, tourist sites and history of the place and its people.
She explains things well and is highly professional. She is also very flexible and is always happy to work with the clients to satisfy their needs.
The driver provided us with very good service. He was very punctual and always available when required.
The itinerary prepared was excellent and we were able to see most of the key attraction in the short time we had.
With the Huyen's help and the driver's services we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Saigon.

Vietnam & Cambodia Tour – From 5 Mar to 26 Mar 2014
I apologize that I began this survey (including my ratings of the guides/drivers) and I believe it got sent to you before I had the chance to give further comments. Again, thank you for the opportunity to give my feedback..
I thought this was an excellent 3 week journey of discovery and cultural immersion. The itinerary included the very best highlights of the areas we visited. The accommodations were better than we expected for the cost of the trip, the breakfasts at the hotels were exceptional (LOVE pho!). Without exception, the drivers were very good, but it took a little adjustment to understand the driving styles in the cities, allowing for the frequent construction, constant honking of horns and lack of orderly driving of motorbikes. We wanted to wear our seat belts all the time, which is required in the US but we discovered the seat belts not to be readily available (needed to stop and figure them out) and several guides suggested they didn’t need to be used as the traffic was slow and the drivers were good. That is not the point! Wearing seat belts should be encouraged, especially when the traffic is chaotic. Also, I was so pleasantly surprised that every guide and every driver met us on time and in very nice vehicles (with cold water in coolers).
The only guide we had an issue with was in Cambodia. He told us to be in the lobby of the hotel at 5AM. He showed up late and then told us he had set his own alarm for 5:30. However, he really tried to accommodate us by making an unexpected stop for an hour at an orphanage (requested by a fellow traveller) and making numerous adjustments due to our dismay at not having the hot-air balloon ride. I thought he did an excellent job of explaining the Angkor Temples history but his trivial stories of legends was lost on us when we were more concerned about getting to the elephant ride on time!
I thought this was an AMAZING trip! I Iearned so much and I especially appreciate the determination and positive attitudes of the Vietnamese people with no sign of hostility toward us as Americans. Although our forms of government are different, I saw so many signs of recovery from this most recent war, gained a greater understanding of the events that led up to it. Vietnamese people are truly resilient! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to get to know your country and people better. I also need to say that I travelled with the other 2 women for the first time. I felt that their expectations/needs were different from mine so our evaluations of the trip will reflect this. I can only say that I will have NO reservations about recommending VTT to anyone who wants to have a comprehensive, in-depth and wonderful experience in Vietnam/ Cambodia. Thank you, Lana! Our Guides were excellent, Khoa in Hanoi, Hoang in Hue, Anne and Tran in Saigon and Mekong Delta, Nguyen in Vung Tau and Houng in Nue Dat. I must say a special mention for Tran as her English and understanding of people were outstanding. She is a brilliant guide.
Our hotel were all excellent. Our friends Robert and Marlene Sutton found the hotel in Vung Tau a little hard because of the slope of the land and the stairs to our rooms. I feel that this was due to their lack of fitness. Keith and I enjoyed the hotel in Vung Tau and the views from our room were amazing.

Hi Lana, we arrived home safely Saturday am after a fabulous holiday in your beautiful country.
Thank you for organising an amazing holiday for us. We found vietnam to be a beautiful country and the people to be very warm and friendly. Our guides were good and Phuoc in South Vietman was absolutely amazing. On reflection the places we enjoyed most were the homestay in Mai Chau, Halong Bay, bike riding at Hoi An, the Mekong Delta and for my son the Cu chi Tunnels where he was able to shoot with the machine guns. These were largely places where we were doing things and being active rather than looking at things. The trip you planned for us was a happy mixture of both sight seeing and physical activity so we had the best of both worlds.
We would highly recommend you and your company to any of our friends or family wanting to visit Vietnam. We miss the weather in Vietnam, it was 45 degrees c today! With thunder, lightning and bush fires.

The whole trip was so enjoyable! Everything included was excellent and we had a wonderful time. The only thing I would suggest, if possible, is a little more free time during the day/evening to relax or do some things by yourself.
